In 2021, as in previous Australian Community Surveys, there were widespread results in both religious and spiritual self-perceptions of Australians. Overall, respondents considered themselves to be a little more spiritual than religious. However, it is evident that most Australians perceive themselves as having both spiritual and religious identities to varying degrees.
